After losing their founder and band leader John Hughes in 2019, the Walsall Jazz Orchestra will continue to pay tribute and honour John, who was the inspiration and driving force of the band for over 40 years.

We close the festival with a dedication to the memory of John Hughes who founded this wonderful big band some forty years ago. They are no strangers to the festival with their awesome big, brassy sound and rock infused rhythm section.

They play the compositions of Pat Methany, Chick Corea plus compositions written by band members Tim Amann and Nick Dewhurst.
